Dutch DJ and producer Michael Engel, better known by his stage name Overtracked, continues to make waves in the tech house, minimal house, and deep house scenes. With his roots firmly planted in the vibrant house and techno culture of Zeeland and Rotterdam, Overtracked has evolved from a precocious talent into a notable figure in these musical hubs.
His career boasts two studio albums and a plethora of singles and EPs, celebrated for their distinctive blend of punchy kicks, sharp stabs, synths, and invigorating acid sounds—a signature that not only defines his studio work but also electrifies his live performances. Overtracked's discography includes impressive releases on esteemed labels like Armada, Inly, Nopreset Limited, and Reshape Black, showcasing his versatility and broad appeal.
In addition to his production and DJ gigs, Overtracked is a dynamic presence behind the scenes. Since 2016, he has co-hosted Housekult, a prominent event in Zeeland, alongside Benjamin Scott. His entrepreneurial spirit shines through with the founding of OVT Records in 2021, a label that champions his creations and nurtures talent within his network.
