Dono Dono, born Donovan Duvall, hails from Northern Virginia, just outside of DC. His journey into music began at the age of 8 when he started playing percussion in the school orchestra. However, it was receiving his first drum set at 12 that truly ignited his passion for music. Throughout high school and college, Dono Dono played in several bands, discovering his love for production and beat-making along the way. His influences range from Daft Punk and Led Zeppelin to Disclosure and Tame Impala, giving his music a unique and eclectic sound.
After completing a degree in Jazz Percussion and Performance at Guilford College, Dono Dono honed his instrumental skills and began experimenting with electronic music production. His debut EP, "Prom," is a collection of introspective tracks that explore themes such as masculinity, sexuality, grief, relationships, stress, and love. Each song reflects his personal experiences and the expectations that come with them, creating a sound that is both unique and deeply impactful.
